Back in the United States from Rio de Janeiro, Oruã display their accomplishments in a new form, bringing a mature, sophisticated and unique swing, as trippy as it is heartwarming, that goes from modern krautrock to psychedelic music, raw indie rock with some pinches of jazz, and pastel riffs heated by the sun of Brazil’s coast.
After touring with Doug Martsch as Built to Spill and co-producing their recent SupPop debut WTWFYN, Le Almeida and Joao Casaes, now along with Karin Santa Rosa and Bigu Medine as Oruã, are temporarily based in Seattle, WA, while they record and tour from coast to coast.
Oruã is constantly producing new music and many songs that are being played at their shows will be on their upcoming album, “Passe”.
